Bring on Spring

Oh I have Spring Fever so bad! As always March and April here in Utah are torture because we are teased by these warm days and then BAM, more snow. That's ok, we need all the time we can get to get our garden ready. The last little while has been busy with preparations to beautify our yard and plant our garden. David has been learning how to play the banjo and Olivia is as busy as ever. Also, we got a new cat to kill our little rat friends (Bagheera has long since been lost to us. We figured he was so friendly, someone took him home).

Here's what else we've been doing:

I can't remember what this place is called, but it's this store at the Riverwoods shopping center in Provo and it's got a bazillion classic toys and old-fashioned candy. My mom and sisters and I spent a long while perusing.

Classic Katie...

We went on a wonderful hike right up the street from our house. Olivia was a little trooper. It was amazing how far she walked on her little legs.

Carb loading...

Dueling banjos...

This is perhaps one of my favorite pictures. The ukelele, the cowboy boots, the FACE!

Spring cleaning...

David made this fort that was thoroughly enjoyed by both...

Loving the cake we had for dessert tonight...

A plug for our friends

Our friends Austin and Amanda Green are trying to become parents through IVF. We hope to support them as much as we can, including a 5k fundraiser. If anyone is interested, here are some links that have ways to help Austin and Amanda:

Sickness Stinks!

It seems like Olivia has been sick non-stop since fall. Of course, that's not true but it seems like she is sick more than not. David's sister Michelle came home from her mission so we have spent a lot of time with family and with that many cousins around, sickness is bound to spread. In addition to that, she is getting more teeth. But in the midst of it all there have been a few times that she has acted like her happy self.

Getting ready to go...
To the duck pond!

It was quite a party at the Stevenson's as you will observe here. Notice that Olivia was NOT in the mood to get near her cousins. This was not one of those happy times.
