We Love Spring!!!

Sheesh it's been a while so we've been doing a lot since the last post. Of course we have been preparing for the garden so we have spent much time outside. David showing Olivia a slug or something creepy crawly...
Olivia has spent a lot of time with cousins lately which is good for her, it prepares her for nursery.
She's a natural, and look how much Sadie is loving it.

My mom always says that all kids need is a cardboard box. It's true!! She loved this cardboard castle.

Maybe helping a little too much...

Now for Easter. My sister works at a nursing home and they had an Easter egg hunt. Olivia's favorite thing to pick up was actually not an egg. It was a bottle cap. Aunt Annie helping Olivia...

My big helper. This is her "broom"

The first annual Stevenson Easter Egg Drop was a bit hit. There were no rules so the resulting entries were very impressive. It ranged from an egg in a duck-taped can filled with peanut butter to an egg in jello in a box to an egg in a bunch of pillows in a bag and many more. All were very good and they were dropped from a 50-foot fork lift. We went with the classic approach, a parachute, which normally doesn't do too well. This one was very carefully crafted with a use of physics and precision. It did not break. Here it is on it's descent:

Easter Sunday we had an Easter egg hunt in our backyard. She looks so pretty in her Easter dress.

This girl LOVES being with her dad.

Last week I got out of the shower and this is what I found. I don't know that it is so good to teach our child to color on the walls but this wallpaper will come down someday and David created a good memory for me, at least. Our bedroom has quite a collection of murals now.

Olivia has gotten really good at giving kisses. Apparently this was a snotty kiss, hence the grossed out look on David's face.

I am SO glad we've been able to walk on the grass in bare feet because it's warm. She's trying to put on her sock...
